填字遊戲

　　她不是 Cleopatra 或 Yekaterina （兩者皆曾為女王），這名字拼法簡單，三個字母而已，J, O, E。念法也完全不拗口：和親吻一樣，溫柔的噘起嘴唇，然後放鬆舌頭，像嘆息般輕輕的吐出氣息 - Joe，沒錯，你念得非常好。這是一個男女通用的名字，你可以套用在任何你喜歡的人身上。

　　說到叫Joe的名人，我第一個想到是棒球選手Joe DiMaggio，這位曾連續56場比賽擊出安打的傳奇球星，已經是美國文化的一部分。君不見，他是＜老人與海＞裡面，不可或缺的背景，雖然捕魚和棒球似乎沒有直接關係。在他和Marilyn Monroe結婚以前，又有誰知道棒球選手和性感女神到底有何關聯？尤其DiMaggio並不花心，他苦苦追求女神追了兩年多才終於有結果，簡直像個初出茅廬的純情小生，太不像一個大聯盟球員，更別說是締造史詩般輝煌紀錄的傳奇人物了。這段愛情故事非常的應景，英雄和美人從此以後過著幸福快樂的日子 - 如果你以前沒聽過這故事，就姑且這樣相信吧。別再問這段婚姻到底維持了多久，是不是僅僅274天了。


　　如果 Joe 代表的是咖啡，那我想到的會是這首老歌Old Black Joe。作者Stephen Foster不用我多介紹，他也是美國文化不可或缺的背景，Home on the Range和 Oh Susanna皆出於此人之手。只是，這首歌不論是歌詞或曲調都悲傷的過了頭，真的不適合平日，更別說是情人節拿來哼唱了。
